The name Octave stands for the development of tonally neutral, powerful, stable and safe push-pull tube amplifiers that can drive practically every loudspeaker available on the market. Our innovative design is now recognized: thousands of satisfied listeners appreciate the sound properties of their OCTAVE amplifier, coupled with the highest suitability for everyday use.

However, we have often been asked why we don't also tackle the development of a 300 B single ended triode power amplifier with our tube amplifier know-how. A concept that is said to have legendary sonic properties.

The challenge for us was to combine our ideas about sound, dynamics, bandwidth and load stability with the sonic characteristics of SE triode power amplifiers, which are inherently low power and whose usual concepts have limitations in important areas.

Our idea was to develop a 300 B amplifier that offers enough power for most top speakers and at the same time does not affect the classic 300 B basic circuit. For us, it wasn't about performance for the sake of performance, but rather about offering the 300 B a perfect environment that brings out the sonic properties of this tube even better. The concept of developing a 300 B single ended amplifier with 20 - 30 W and three power tubes in indirect parallel operation was born.

A core problem is the “direct” heating of these triodes:

Unlike indirectly heated tubes (such as KT88, KT120, etc.), directly heated triodes cannot be operated directly in parallel to increase output power due to the complex heating system requirements. The usual 50 Hz AC heater would cause unacceptably high hum and mains interference in the loudspeaker. A direct current heater eliminates the hum, but limits the sonic potential of the 300 B.

Our solution:

We have developed a 7 Hz power generator that supplies each of the three 300 B with a separate regulated 7 Hz heating voltage in pure sine.

• This makes it possible to connect several 300 B tubes in parallel.

• Sound-influencing hum and HF interference from the mains frequency are 100% eliminated.

• Heating and operating voltage are electronically regulated, sonic instabilities due to fluctuating mains voltage are a thing of the past.

• Only then will the sonic potential of the 300 B be exhausted. The 300 B are now operated in the optimized range and can fully develop their sound properties. Now it becomes clear why she is called the "Queen" of tubes.

This makes the Jubilee 300 B an absolutely modern and uncompromising implementation of what is probably the best amplification technology in the high-end sector. They enable the emotional, smooth, high-resolution, dynamic and spatial triode sound, not only in the mid/high range, but for the first time in a completely broadband range.
