JUBILEE LINE
The German manufacturer Octave focuses on serious and responsible development work with a strict eye for uncompromising products. This is evident even in the smallest model, the V 40 SE, in which all the virtues of the Octave philosophy can be found. Basically, we look for what is feasible in the respective price range. Of course, this influences the effort and production. In this respect, the question “What if?” is of course tempting. And we allowed ourselves this freedom to push the boundaries back in 1995: we thought about a completely new amplifier design and tackled the reference preamplifier project. But it still took a full three years after the initial idea until the Jubilee Preamp was completed. It was the starting point of our globally acclaimed Jubilee series and is still being continuously optimized in line with technical developments - without changing the name.
Of course, the great success spurred us on to offer a chain made from one piece. But the performance in a full or power amplifier represents a completely different challenge, because Octave has a simple philosophy: Our amplifiers should be uncomplicated, reliable and sound at the highest level with any loudspeaker in the world. This simply means that we can also compare with the stability and performance of solid-state devices, but we definitely want to offer more in some disciplines. Especially when it comes to dynamics and authenticity. Because here it is all too often decided whether the music is simply playing or whether it is really captivating and deeply moving. Especially because Andreas Hofmann, as an outspoken lover of classical music (especially opera), doesn't want to miss the power of a large orchestra. The proximity to renowned stages, such as the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden or the Karlsruhe State Theater, helps him to compare in the listening room.
This claim in the Jubilee line means nothing less than pushing boundaries and overcoming the limitations of time-honored tube technology.
